We’ve really out done ourselves…
Already booked was a panel talk to celebrate the much revered Bagpuss (featuring Daniel Postage, Stewart Lee, Kyle Lonsdale and original music makers Sandra Kerr and John Faulkner), but we can today announce that the "old, saggy cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams" Bagpuss will be joining us in person.
Bagpuss has recently returned from a two year tour with the V&A and will soon take up permanent residence in the Canterbury museum. One of his last scheduled journeys sees the dearly loved pink cat travel to the Dartington Hall Estate some forty-five years after he first made his TV debut.
As part of the celebration, Luke Drozd (of the UK Poster Association) has been commissioned to create a stunning original poster and it will be exclusively available in limited numbers during the weekend.
More on the UKPA to follow.
Alongside the notable feline company, we can also today announced even more musical guests scheduled to appear over the weekend.
International Psych Explorers Flamingods will be joining the Friday night line up on the Truck Stage to celebrate the release of their new 'Levitation' LP on Moshi Moshi. Inspired by disco, funk and psychedelic sounds coming out of the Middle East and South Asia in the 70s, the album channels sun-drenched vibes.
The Proper Ornaments return to Sea Change (following a barn storming hot and sweaty set in 2017) to play the festival closing spot on Sunday with material from their new Six Lenins LP. The principle songwriters James Hoare (Ultimate Painting/Veronica Falls) and Max Claps (TOY) have also appeared in other outfits, this will be their fourth appearance all told... Sea Change MVPs.
