If you’re interested in coming to Sea Change, we think this is about all into info you’ll need to start planning your visit.

Sea Change is an intimate festival of music and arts in Devon. It’s curated by the (award-winning) Drift Record Shop and hosts shows in ancient buildings on the Totnes High Street and in amazing locations on the Dartington Hall Estate.

Sea Change has something to thrill everyone in 2019. Headline sets from Metronomy, The Comet is Coming and Gruff Rhys. Special commissions from Lubomyr Melnyk, Bill Ryder-Jones and Will Burns & Hannah Peel with Virginia Astley. Late night bangers from Gazelle Twin or late night ambience from Szun Waves. The best new music from Black Midi, Maps, Du Blonde, Rozi Plain, W. H. Lung, TVAM, Black Country New Road and more.

Award-winning comedian Stewart Lee and director Michael Cumming (Brass Eye) will be presenting exclusive footage and conversation from their (in production) feature film ‘King Rocker’, including a live performance from The Nightingales, of which the film is concerned.

All these musical treats (and more!) alongside inspiring conversations from Viv Albertine, Salena Godden, Luke Turner, Emma Warren, David Keenan, Belinda Zhawi, Martha Sprackland, Ana da Silva and Charlotte Newman.

And yes it’s true! There will be a big celebration on the Sunday of all things Bagpuss, with Sandra Kerr and John Faulkner joining us to perform the wonderful music that they created for the show all those years ago, plus conversation with Daniel Postgate, Kyle Lonsdale and that man Stewart Lee again.

The excellent Devon fest boasts a carefully curated blend of stimulating talks and slightly under-the-radar bands

All of this is pretty different, but here is the real game changer… you get to decide how you want to stay! Sea Change is still at heart a town festival and all of the spaces (even the big outside ones) are walking distance to hotels, pubs, guest houses and Air BnBs. There is a campsite (a pretty lush one with showers), but the choice is all yours.

This is why we do it…

This is what the 2018 festival looked like…

No Waste

We’re only small, but we’re trying to do things right…

At Sea Change 2019, as a commitment to the beautiful spaces we use and love so much, we are aiming to have the least impact on the environment and to go waste free.

Sea Change will commit zero to landfill in 2019.

Would you like to get to know the artists a little better? Good, we made you some playlists.

It looks like this…

The BBC’s Spotlight team came to have a walk around Dartington with us recently to look at some of the amazing buildings we’ll be filling with life at Sea Change.

Come and see us this (late) May Bank Holiday in Devon.

Sea Change sold out in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Tickets for the 2019 edition are well over half way now, which is even faster than in previous years.

There will be a few more additions, plus some secret gigs and sets on the weekend.

There will even be a cricket match to kick it all off on Thursday 23rd.
